Larry Donald Morton

Larry Donald Morton

Larry was hit by a train along with 3 other railroad workers by the Simplot plant as they were working on the tracks.  The railroad changed their mode of operation after the accident.  Now there are spotters at each end of the crew to watch for oncoming trains.

Larry was one of my very best friends, and I loved him like a brother. We got into more than our share of trouble together. I remember many times together, but the one that comes most clearly to mind is the night that after partying late into the morning Larry, I, and one or two other guys ended up at his place. We all piled on his bed down in his basement room to sleep it off a bit. His Dad came in later in the morning and found us all there. To say he was not happy is putting it mildly. He tolds us he wasn't running a blankie blank boarding house and proceeded to kick all who didn't live there out the door in short order fashion. Larry was a tough guy, and all of us who ran around together always knew that he had our backs.

He was married to her as Wally said. I did go to a party at her place after he was killed. I can't remember for the life of me when it was in relationship to his death, whether or not she was remarried at that time, or what. It has been a long time. She was a good friend of mine too. I would love to see her again.

He was married to Lorilee Siesser and they had 3 daughters at the time of his passing.  She has been married numerous times since then.  Her parents have both passed and I do not know how to get hold of her sisters to find out her whereabouts at this time.
