Mike and I were in the same Biology class together (Mr Waltons). He kinda "liked" me, but I was far too gone for Kip Warren. Mike and I had a close call together...we were in an old Van with a bunch of kids that went out to the "beach" together. I believe the van was "borrowed" from one of the kids' dad....We must have had 15-20 kids - several I didn't know - packed in the back of that thing. As we were leaving the beach the van "acted up" and wouldn't go. No one knew what they were doing, obviously, and one kid started pouring GASOLINE into the engine to get it started. Problem is, the engine was IN THE BACK OF THE VAN WHERE ALL US KIDS WERE! Yep! You guessed it - a fire broke out and I was the one next to the door! Skeert me to death! I could hardly get the handle opened. Craig ended up in the hospital with pretty bad burns. I was shook, but okay. I don't remember about the rest of the kids....Mike was a sweetheart. I'm sad to hear of his passing.
Mike and I had been friends in high school and had a great time at our last reunion. Both he and my nephew were great activists for abandoned Greyhound Dogs. We chatted thru Fb and all of a sudden he was just gone....RIP, old friend...
I remember Michael had a lot to do with managing the web site for past reunions. This was back when the Internet wasn't so common to everyone's daily routine. He was a talented and thoughtful man. RIP classmate.

Michael passed away from a self inflicted gun shot wound. I miss him greatly and hope his deamons are gone and he is in a better place.
